Register NowAlexander Doijer is the Sustainability Director at ACT Commodities. A role which guides the company through the complex landscape of sustainable energy products, (liquid and gaseous fuels), and related services. Additionally ensuring the operations and logistics departments comply with regulatory standards and align with ACT’s and their client's ambitious environmental targets, which means harmonizing commercial objectives with sustainable practices. Alexander also actively advices current policy development on the EU level through several workgroups. And was asked to present his view to a cross-ministerial group including DG Clima, Move and Energy, on the practical execution of the recent FuelEU maritime legislative agenda in line the development of the UDB as the primary regulatory reporting tool.
With 15 years of experience in the sustainable fuels markets, ranging to feedstock acquisition, storage, production, and delivery (as cargo and as bunker fuel into seagoing vessel) all within the framework of the voluntary certification schemes for sustainable fuel and energy. Alexander has a steadfast commitment to advancing the sustainability agenda, ensuring that every action takes is a step towards a more sustainable and resilient future for the energy sector. His practical execution and leveraging of analytical skills for data-driven decision making, means regulatory changes function as opportunities within the commerical space. Despite a broad knowledge of the regulatory space, one must keep on top of innovations and adapt to the dynamic regulatory landscape. A day spent not learning, is a day not lived.
